How does billing work?+
Billing is handled via Shopify’s built-in billing system. All charges appear directly on your regular Shopify invoice — no separate payment method needed.
What counts as an API call?+
Each address validation request counts as one API call. For example, when a customer submits their shipping address at checkout and it gets validated, that is one call.
Do free calls roll over?+
No, the 500 free calls reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused free calls do not carry over to the next month.
Can I set a spending limit?+
Yes. You can set a monthly spending cap directly in the Address Guardian dashboard. Once the cap is reached, validation will pause until the next cycle.
What happens if I exceed my limit?+
If you reach your spending cap, address validation pauses automatically until the next billing cycle begins or you increase your limit in the dashboard.
Is there a contract or commitment?+
No. Address Guardian is completely pay-as-you-go. You can cancel anytime directly from your Shopify admin — no contracts, no cancellation fees.
Is my customer data secure and GDPR compliant?+
Absolutely. We process addresses in real-time and do not store customer data permanently. Address validation results are retained for 90 days for debugging purposes, then automatically deleted. We are fully GDPR compliant, with data processed in the EU. You can request complete data deletion at any time.
